Podere Il Pozzo

History

This ancient Tuscan colonial complex is located on the hills above the town of Rufina. Numerous documents can be found in the Museum of Vines and Grapes in the Villa di Poggio Reale in Rufina that attest to the existence of the “Podere il Pozzo” far back into history.
The small hamlet was home to a group of Jesuit monks until the beginning of the 18th century and in 1998 the farm was purchased by the Bellini family who renewed the farm's wine production. The farm is run by Gianfranco Caselli, whose passion for viticulture has been a driving force toward cultivation systems that maintain maximum respect for the environment and Tuscan traditions, making it possible to obtain wines of great quality and personality.
